Later on it was partially destroyed by the earthquake of 1956 which caused many destructions around the island but due to decision of the Ministry of Culture it was fully restored in 1987. By visiting it you will get the chance to meet the Greek culture. You will feel like you have travelled to a different part of time and you will take a glimpse into a different Greece of a different era, back in the 19th century. Don’t hurry up; on the contrary, take your time and enjoy the floors with volcanic stones, the local architecture and in general the magic of the neoclassical style.
